The TLC Vision anticipates multidenominational participation and support. We relate to and work constructively with the United Church of Christ* (UCC), and plan to work with the Disciples of Christ (DoC), and the American Baptist Churches (ABCUSA). Each of these has an Open/Welcoming and Affirming organization and a movement with a theological perspective that is decidedly progressive (one might say liberal). All three have a history that is as old or older than the American Nation, yet all possess a spirit that is as fresh as tomorrow. (Visit each denomination's website by clicking on its logo above.)
In organizing TLC, we have formed certain core values. We endorse and use educational materials from Living the Questions which explore the boundaries of belief, knowledge, and practice, rather than playing it safe.
Our worship is solidly rooted, but expansive in style---including liturgical, emerging, blended---yet intentionally NOT like the churches down the street. Music, movement, arts, are encouraged from those in the community and there is a place for classical, R&B, C&W, gospel, jazz, "world," music and everything in between. Worship is the expression of our joy in God's presence but NOT entertainment for the congregation.

*The UNITED Church of Christ and the Church of Christ are two separate, very different Christian denominations. They are not affiliated with each other in any way.
