Part of our Sunday custom at TLC includes a pattern for Worship following the full Eucharist (Communion) Service. These pictures show serving bread then the cup to worshippers. They dip their bread into the cup, then eat. (Remember when we actually dunked our donuts?) We include Eucharist (Communion) every week, instead of monthly, quarterly, or annually.
Everyone present is invited to share at the Table. We follow the Passover practice of opening the doors wide and saying to everyone, "Come and eat."
You decide if you will receive bread and cup. No one else will decide for you. Even children are welcome. Here you will not be turned away. (Also, we serve gluten-free bread and non-alcohol wine.)
A small group met on April 7, 2015, for initial discussion and planning. Several folks had told us that they didn't feel they had anything to contribute to planning and design, but would come to worship and participate.
Today (April 19), we gathered for our first worship with thirteen in attendance. Ages ranged from 2 to 75, female and male, gay and straight, retired and actively employed. So be certain that you are welcome.
